Exeter-Milligan Public Schools

NOTICE OF A HEARING BEFORE THE STATE COMMITTEE FOR THE REORGANIZATION OF SCHOOL DISTRICTS.  Notice is hereby given that a petition has been filed with the State Committee for the Reorganization of School Districts proposing to dissolve Fillmore County School District 30-0001, commonly known as Exeter-Milligan Public Schools; to dissolve the existing Saline County School District 76-0068, commonly known as Friend Public Schools; and to create a new school district pursuant to sections 79-413 and 79-415 and other applicable statutes of the State of Nebraska.  The Committee will convene its meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in the State Board Room in the offices of the Nebraska Department of Education on the First Floor at 500 S. 84^th St., Lincoln NE 68510, and will take up this petition as soon thereafter as it appears on the agenda.  Copies of the petition are available for review at the administrative offices of Exeter-Milligan Public Schools, 318 S. River Ave., Exeter, NE 68351; Friend Public Schools, 501 S. Main St., Friend, NE 68359; and at the office of the Nebraska Commissioner of Education, Nebraska Department of Education, 500 S. 84^th St., Lincoln NE 68510.
